What issues matter to you as a preservationist? How do you keep a pulse on the latest trends? Who do you network with to enhance your on-the-ground efforts? The National Trust is excited to announce a program that touches upon all these questions, and more.
This week the Trust rolled out two Preservation Leadership Forum Affinity Groups. Focused on specific topics, each Affinity Group has several online platforms where members can discuss and exchange the latest thinking and strategies with peers and colleagues. Based on member interest and survey results on what topics members want to see more of, the Trust has launched the Sustainability and the Law & Policy Affinity Groups.
All Forum members are eligible to join and can take part in exclusive, specifically-targeted platforms such as a LinkedIn group and a group email list, and will receive special, topic-specific e-communication pieces. These targeted groups enable members to take their preservation efforts to the next level by exchanging best practices, sharing knowledge, and discussing preservation trends with their colleagues and other experts in the preservation field through various online platforms.
How do you participate? Ask questions. Share resources. Network with colleagues who are encountering similar challenges. Or simply digest the information that comes out of the Affinity Groups. Your participation level is up to you.
